LITHOTECH - Bindery Assistant

Position summary

Bindery worker for printing:  Must be comfortable setting up and operating equipment. Able to follow detail work and think and work on your  own. Looking for a minimum of a 5 year commitment. Could work another department for remaining balance to achieve full time with benefits.

Qualifications summary

Must be able to comfortably lift 50 lbs.

Math skills with fractions is necessary as the job requires measuring.

Comortable with repairing and setting up equipment

College degree preferable

Hours are flexible for mornings or afternoons, but need to be between 8-5 M-Th and until noon on Friday


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Duties and responsibilities

Hand bindery work- can be very repetitive, operating puch machines and assembling books.

Operating a large paper cutter that will need to be programmed.

Handling large amounts of paper

Setting up folders and running the machine

Setting up perfect binder and running the machine

Setting up Laminator and running the machine

If you have experience running offset printing presses it is a definite plus.

None

Qualifications

Basic math with fractioins

College degree preferred but not necessarry

English as mother tongue is preferred

Background in offset or quick printing preferred


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

None

Interpersonal interactions

No advisory role, but clear communication skills necessary

Physical demands

Able to lift at least 50 lbs., also work for atleast 4 hours straight.

Work environment

Shop can have odors from offset ink and cleaning solutions for the press.

Also noise can be high at times- ear protection is available.
